CERTIFICATE IN COMPUTING LEVEL 2
The purpose of this programme is to provide learners and communities with graduates that have the vital foundational computing skills to pathway to higher IT-related study.
This programme will cover; the features and functions of digital devices and software, basic networking, how to troubleshoot as well as an introduction to network security.
Graduates will have improved their digital literacy and be capable of using a range of digital technologies at an introductory level to produce and process information and operate with a range of relevant skills.
This programme is 50% Theory and 50% Practical which gives our learners a real hands-on experience.

PROGRAMME CONTENT:

Basic knowledge of the main features and functions of digital devices and software

Basic computer networking skills

Basic computer hardware and software skills

Basic network security skills

21 weeks (including 1 week break)

Monday to Friday on campus; 9:00am - 1:30pm

PATHWAY OPPORTUNITIES:

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Domestic students only: 16 to 24 years old

Must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident

No formal academic qualifications are required. However, computer literacy is highly recommended

Must have a good command of the English language

Successfully write a statement of intent and attend an interview
